Removing Single Items of Form History
Supprisingly you can remove an item from the FireFox / Mozilla form history but finding out how is not trivial as it is poorly or perhaps even not documented. With IE you simply highlight the value you want removing and hit delete. With Mozilla / FireFox you have to press Shift+Delete. Why they chose this combination is beyond me.
Installing Flash on Debian
As evil as Flash is it is often necessary to isntall it but for some reason the installation in Debian doesn't work (well it doesn't for me). A few of the pages I read suggested reinstalling worked but I had no luck with that. If you enter about:plugins into the address bar the funny thing is that Firefox recognizes that Flash is installed and associates it with the correct extensions if just doesn't do anything about it. Sigh.
The only fix that I have found that works is to blow away your ~/.firefox and ~/.mozilla directories. If you take this rather radical step don't forget to back up your bookmarks. Here's to hoping that they fix whatever is wrong in the near future.
