There are thousands of applications available for Debian Linux. I recently saw a figure stating there are now over 15000 packages in the Debian archive of which I would guess a few thousand represent runnable applications. This section of the site contains pages that I hope will make your life easier when using some of those applications. While most applications come with a man page and many with a manual there are always little bits missing and I hope to cover those.

As always if you see any mistakes drop me (doozer) a line and I will get on an update the page. This is equally true if there is any information that is out of date.
