For some unknown reason the split pane in Konqueror doesn't resize smoothly. Hopefully split pane is not a Java only term as I am refering to the standard layout of having the directory heirarchy on the left and one or more tabs on the right. The problem I have is that I can't move the divider. It's happy to slide but it's like it can't decide whether to be in the new location or the old one so it jumps between the two (while I am moving it) and then smaps back to the old position when I let go of it. I have managed to move it to two other locations but they are fairly useless to me (either hard up against the left hand side or hard up against the right). I have tried searching for bug reports about this but I am at a loss to think what search terms to use so I have come up empty. If any one knows how to fix this I would be really interested to know.

Wooo hoooo a solution. I have found the bug report. Basically, it will be fixed in a later version. Have a read of this in the mean time. There are possible ways to resize your tab panel
