I get loads of spam but I realized recently that some topics keep coming up over and over again and I don't think I have ever discussed them with anyone else. For that reason I now black list a number of words. Any email matching any of the following rules is automatically deleted without being read.

Amazingly this short list actually catches a good portion (probably around 75%) of the spam I get. As I run my own mail server I can set up other filters as well and already run every mail against the spamhaus blacklists which kills a good 50 to 80 percent before it even gets to these rules. I intend to set up a bayesian filter int eh near future as well.

• watches
