This section of the site is all about the Eclipse development platform. For many years I developed using NetBeans but NetBeans 5.0 was so bad (all x.0 releases of NetBeans are rough) that I decided to have a look at the other main free development platform - Eclipse. I had looked at Eclipse before and felt that it had some nice features but it was behind NetBeans. Release 3.1.2 is behind NetBeans 5.0 but it has closed the gap significatly. It is also fairly stable which is nice but does seem to have a few problems with writing out and changing settings.
