Step 3 is designed to allow you to start entering your information about the reference and to start defining what the reference is about. The page allows you to set a category and a number of keywords that can later be searched upon. As with authors in step two you can quickly add keywords to the paper by double clicking in the left list and quickly remove by double clicking in the right list. You can also highlight the keyword and press either of the buttons marked "<" or ">".

New Category Filled In |
NOTE : If you add a new category and then decide to add another new category it will over write the previous new category. In other words you can only define a single new category per new reference added.
Below you see and image of Step 3 with a category chosen.

Adding a New Keyword
After adding a category you probably want to add some keywords (you have to add at least one to all references). This is done through the New Keyword dialog box an image of which can be seen below.
NOTE Please ignore the deliberate mistake with regard to the title on the dialog box. In the images below it was New Category in the released product it says New Keyword as it should.

An Empty New Keyword Dialog |
Once you have filled in the keyword box you will have a dialog similar to the one seen below. Now press the Add Keyword button to add this keyword to the reference. You can add as many new keywords to a reference as you need.

A Complete New Keyword Dialog |
NOTE : If you add a new keyword and then choose to remove it by either method the keyword will be permanently removed. In the case where you are removing a keyword that was already known in the system the keyword is NOT removed from all the other references it is ONLY disassociated from the current reference.
Complete
The image below shows Step 3 complete. This is the minimum you need to fill in to move to the next step. Notice however that like the other steps the next button wont become active until you have filled in the required parameters.
