The advanced search is the most powerful way to search for references. First you have to choose one or more fields to search on. The search allows you to choose as many or as few fields as you would like to search on. The more fields you provide and the more information you provide the better the chance of getting a good match and finding the reference you want.
To access the advanced search features simply press the "Advanced Search" button at the bottom of the page. It will aquire a depressed look to indicate that you are now doing an advanced search.
In this example we are going to search on only the title. Fortunately for us we can remember that the reference title started with the word "oxygen" so we can immediately begin narrowing the number of results.

The Initial Display |
Using the drop down list next to "Title" we change the value to "Begins With". This makes the search only check the start of the title field.

We then enter out search criteria. Here we have entered "Oxygen". The final step is to press the "Perform Search..." button to actually get the results.
