Exporting One Reference

To export a reference so that it can be backed up or sent to a friend perform a search that will include the required reference in the results. Press the yellow "X" button to then export the reference. The software will ask you where you want to save the exported reference. The file will be saved with the extension .cpaper (compressed paper) and a number unique to your database.

Once you have exported the reference you can send it to colleagues / friends, back it up, delete it or anything else you would do with a normal file. Once exported it is independent of your database. Note: exporting a reference will not remove it from your database. To remove a reference use the delete functionality.
