IMPORTANT NEWS

It makes me sad to admit it but I have come to the conclusion that I no longer have time to support Refas. Rather than remove a working product from circulation I have decided to provide it free. If you would like a copy please use the following key:

I hope that you enjoy using Refas as much as I have enjoyed developing it. If anyone is interested in continuing development I am willing to consider open sourceing the code (under the Apache licence probably).

Note: Although I am giving Refas away I still own all rights to the source and you may not at this time incorporate any part of it into another product without permission. You also may not redistribute Refas without permission.

Refas is the first major product from CS Squared and is aimed at anyone who has to manage academic references / bibliographies as part of their job or as a hobby. The project came about from a realization of how much time the average researcher wastes locating a reference in their own personal collection of references and then creating a bibliography. Web sites such as Bids are all well and good for finding the paper in the first place but when you are writing a paper you want to reference papers you have in your collection.
