Well the offer was refused. We tried again at £420,000 and got knocked back again. We made a final offer of £425,000 which was the full asking price which was accepted. I’m annoyed at having to pay the full asking price but it is a very substantial property with some earning potential.

I spent most of the morning on the phone to various people. I’ve spoken to both sets of estate agents and got some quotes for solicitors. There is a good cheap conveyancer in Gloucester that I think we will go with.

I’ve also arranged for a number of removals companies to come round and give me quotes for packing up our house and moving. It’s looking like they are going to come out at under £2500 which is really good news as I had budgeted around £4000 for moving.
