This is a traditional Scottish dessert that uses delicious Scottish ingredients. Crowdie cream is also known at cranachan. The quantities shown here serve 2.
Ingredients
- 15g Oatmeal
- 140 ml Double cream
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 3 tsp Whiskey
- 75g Raspberries
Method
- Toast the oatmeal under a hot grill for 2 minutes. Do not allow to burn. Leave to cool.
- Whisk the cream and honey together until they form peaks.
- Fold in the whiskey and oatmeal.
- Crush half the raspberries and mix the whole and crushed raspberries together.
- Place the raspberries in the bottom of two glasses and place the oatmeal cream on top.
- Serve immediately.
