Broccoli and blue cheese is a delicious combination that works well with pasta. Serve this dish with a red salad to provide some variety of colour. It has to be said that this isn't a good dish for those on a diet, however it is comfort food at it's best, and is great for eating with friends on a cold winters evening. I like to use stilton for this recipe, however any blue cheese works well. The quantities shown in this recipe serve 4.

  1. Separate the broccoli into florets and steam for 15 minutes, or until the broccoli is firm but cooked.
  2. Cook the pasta according to the instructions (usually boil for about 10 minutes).
  3. Place the broccoli into a pan, along with the yoghurt, marscapone and blue cheese.
  4. Heat the broccoli mixture until the cheese has melted, stir well to mix.
  5. Drain the pasta and mix with the sauce, seasoning with the pepper as required.
