While CrazySquirrel is primarily an information site we do, from time to time, list a few items for sale on these pages. The items for sale are mostly craft items that we have produced in pursuit of our various hobbies, such as pieces of turning, but occasionally we list items that we no longer need. All items are described in detail and we believe represent excellent value for money. The return and refund guide below is for legal back covering. We are reasonable people so if you treat us fairly we will reciprocate in kind.

Refunds

We are happy to provide a refund for any item that is still in mint condition. You will be expected to pay for its shipping back to us and a subsequent £3.00 or 10% (which ever is the greater) restocking and refund fee. The only exception to this is if we sent an item to you in error. In that case we will provide you with a full refund and pay for the shipping costs.

Ensure that any item being returned is securely and safely packed. Damage in transit will not be accepted as an excuse for returning goods not in mint condition.

Before returning an item you must first contact us for a returns number. Contacting us about returns is best done via email to returns@crazysquirrel.com you must include details of what you are returning, why you are returning it and your original order number.

Why do you have a mint condition clause?

When we sent the goods out to you they were in mint condition. If when we get them back they aren't still in mint condition we can't sell them for as much and therefore make a loss.

Why is there a restocking and refund fee?

Refunding money by credit card isn't free nor is paying someone to put goods back into stock.

Returns

If an item is damaged or defective we will accept it back and provide a replacement where possible. If no replacement can be provided we will provide a full refund. We may at our discretion offer a refund even if a product can be replaced. You will be expected to pay for shipping the item back to us even if it is faulty. Ensure that the item being returned is securely and safely packed as we will not accept an item back if it is damaged in transit.

Why do I have to pay for shipping when an item is defective of damaged?

We agree that at first glance this seems unfair but we believe our justification for this policy is sound. If you were returning an item to a shop, unless you were fortunate enough to live within walking distance, you would incur some expense in getting there such as paying the bus fare or buying the petrol to drive there. We don't believe anyone would expect a shop keeper to cover their expenses for getting to the shop to return an item.

Return Address
