Modelling

An introduction to radio-controlled helicopters for hobbyists, which provides the essential information on products, elementary flying and basic aerobatics, routine maintenance, the legal aspects of rotorsport, and joining a local club. Up-to-date with information on the latest kits and equipment.

Java

First up is a book that all Java programmers should read, Thinking in Java 2nd Edition by Bruce Eckel. Whether you are completely new to the language or an old hand you will learn something from this book.

I admit that some of the examples leave a little to be desired, but showing you hundreds of examples is not the intention of the book. Its intention is to teach you how to program in a clear and concise manner. It appears at first that a book such as this will be a Jack of all trades master of none but it packs a huge amount of information in. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to write good java software.

As a bonus Bruce Eckel makes the whole book available for free in electronic format. You can download it here (you need Winace to unpack it). However we recommend you buy it.
