Well the apology has arrived. Surprisingly, it is really rather good - large chunks at least seem to have been written specifically for us. It promises that we won't receive another letter for 3 years and then every 3 years after that. I would rather not receive any more letters but I think I can cope with once every three years. There are only two things that still bug me. Firstly, I am fairly sure they are now storing my details even though I don't want to have anything to do with them. On principal I am unhappy with this but I am not sure I am annoyed enough to chase it up. Secondly the letter mentions that they may still send an enforcement officer round to confirm that we don't have a television. Its a shame they felt the need to include that in an otherwise great apology. I doubt anyone will ever show up and I don't think I will do anything until they do anyway.

Well, I expected this fight to take a lot longer than it did. I would recommend phoning the CAB to anyone else being hassled by the TVLA. I would just like to thank everyone who has written to me offering their support. It really helped.
